NEW Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipsticks

Revlon lipstick products have become insanely popular after the launch of the ColorBurst Lip Butters and Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stains... Recently, Revlon launched another new lip product: Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick (A$25.95/2.55g)! Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick is a long lasting lip product which gives a velvety suede finish as they claim to be. The lipstick contains Shea Butter, Vitamin E and Aloe which helps to moisturise and nourish the lips.

There are 20 shades in the Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick range and I currently have four of the shades to add to my lipstick collection. I received the shades Muse, Cruise Collection and Finale from Beauty Swatch's recent blog giveaway (thank you Yishan and Revlon!) and was provided with the shade Backstage from PR for review.

Muse (#005) is a a cool blue pink shade, Cruise Collection (#075) is a classic coral shade, Finale (#025) is a cherry red shade and Backstage (#035) is a mulberry and vibrant berry shade. These shades are vibrant and suits all skin tones.

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick's are rich and pigmented with a semi-matte finish to give a 'suede' look. Despite the fact that the lipstick is pigmented, I still had to apply 2-3 coats (bullet to lip) to ensure even distribution of colour, since the formula appears slightly patchy when first applied. One tip is to not rub your lips together after application and instead allow for the formula to set. The lasting power is amazing and probably one of the best qualities of this lipstick as it leaves a 'just bitten' stain to the lips. I've swatched the shades to my arm (below photos) and you can see how difficult I found it was to remove the swatches from my arm after using tissues and cleansing wipes.

  1. This is a good comparison to Rimmel's Kate Moss lipsticks that are supposed to have a sort of velvety feel but Revlon's seems more long lasting. So tempted to try it!
