October/November Empties

Sukin Sensitive Cleansing Gel (reviewed here) - Sukin's new Sensitive skincare range launched recently and I adore the calming and soothing properties of this cleansing gel due to the concoction of Chamomile, Cucumber and Aloe Vera within the formula.

Sukin Facial Moisturiser (reviewed here) - I love organic-based skincare products as they are so gentle to my skin. Sukin Facial Moisturiser is a lightweight cream moisturier, however, my combination/oily skin type actually prefers gel-like moisturisers. So, I've been using this moisturiser to hydrate my neck and decolletage as the moisturiser contains nourishing ingredients such as Rosehip, Jojoba and Avocado oils.

Lee Stafford Poker Straight Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist - I love how the nozzle of this bottle provides a large mist to coat most of my hair in one spritz, however, the formula had a very strong chemical-like scent which I did not really enjoy.

L'Occitane's Ultra Rich Body Cream in Hibiscus Flower (reviewed here) - I LOVE how nourishing, moisturising and rich L'Occitane Shea Butter creams are! Ultra Rich Body Cream contains 25% of Shea Butter and the scent Hibiscus Flower was a limited edition scent from the Shea Africa Collection.

Savoir Faire Concealer Pack in Light (reviewed here) - I received this concealer in my December Bella Box (2011) and it was the first time I have used products from Savoir Faire. I loved the creamy concealer formula, however, the mattifying  powder in the bottom compartment of this nifty concealer kit did not set well after applying liquid foundation.

Burt's Bees Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry - Burt's Bees lip products always enthralls me! The Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry had a very pleasant and sweet scent and kept my lips hydrated during the day.

Bloom Mango Tango Natural Flavour Lip Balm (reviewed here) - I've been in a lip balm crazy these last few months and that's probably due to the dryness I've suffered during the winter season. Mango Tango, the Bloom lip balm, smells lovely just like the Boost Juice Mango Tango flavour smoothie!

Alpha-H Clear Skin Blemish Control Gel with Wild Oregano and Tea Tree (reviewed here) This blemish gel has lasted me for ages! I love the fresh Tea Tree scent of this blemish balm and especially love how effective this gel helped to heal and sooth minor pimples and blemishes popping up on my skin.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (reviewed here) - Facial Treatment Essence is one of my favourite SK-II products! It is a lovely addition to my daily skincare regime where I apply a few drops onto my skin my gentle patting motions. My skin seems to appear clear and healthy after using this for a couple of weeks. This trial sized sample lasted my about 4 weeks!

Have you finished any holy grail beauty products last month?

Adore Beauty Super Serum Sampler

Adore Beauty has recently launched their Super Serum Sampler containing six deluxe sized serums and treatments from SK-II, Lancôme, Trilogy, Ole Henriksen, Alpha-H and Subtle Energies. For as little as $29 (and valued at over $100), this is a wonderful opportunity to road-test luxury and high-end serums which everyone has been raving about before you commit to purchase the full size product! As a bonus, the Serum Sampler also contains a code which entitles you to 10% off the price of any of the full-priced serums included. Stock is limited and is only available while stocks last! Visit the Adore Beauty site here to see more details.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence 30ml
‘Containing more than 90% Pitera, the much loved SK-II Facial Treatment Essence miracle water is a mist-have for healthy, radiant skin. It helps maintain the skin's natural renewal cycle to its optimum condition to allow skin nourishment. It also works to balance the skin's pH and sebum secretion, so oily and dry areas are properly moisturised.’

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence is one of my favourite products which I have been using continuously for the past few months. This cute and generous deluxe sized sample will be kept for travel. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence is a unique product in the SK-II line as this product is not like your typical serum nor toner. Facial Treatment Essence is like miracle water which you gentle pat onto the skin prior to application of your usual serum and moisturiser. The additional step of application ensures that the entire surface of the skin is thoroughly nourished and moisturised and leaves my skin feeling revitalised and refreshed. At first I felt like this step was unecessary and it kinda felt just like water, however, after continual usage for a couple of weeks my skin texture and appearance seemed to have improved! This micracle water has become one of my addictions, it's no wonder everyone who has used Facial Treatment Essence has nothing but amazing things to say about it!

Lancôme Genifique Youth Activator 7ml
'Youth is in your genes. Reactivate it. Inspired by gene science, Genifique is the first Lancôme skincare that revives genes' activity and stimulates the production of youth proteins. In just 7 days, your skin is visibly rejuvenated: cushiony soft and velvety to the touch. Skin's tone is astonishingly even; its texture dramatically refined. Drop by drop, skin is breathtakingly radiant, as if lit from within.'

Lancôme Genifique Youth Activator serum is a lovely serum which is housed in an opaque dropper bottle. Just a few drops of the serum is enough for one application for the face. The serum is extremely lightweight and absorbs incredibly fast once massaged onto the skin. My skin feels very smooth and supple and it's great that this serum leaves a nice matte finish. There is no distinct scent, so for those with sensitive noses, this would be great for you.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster 7ml
'Like a daily vitamin for your face, this high powered vitamin C complex helps smooth out lines and wrinkles and prevents further damage. Loaded with antioxidants to fight off environmental aggressors and moisture-binding ingredients to keep your skin nourished and protected, this aromatic serum is absorbed instantly and penetrates to the deeper layers of the skin to provide longer term results.'

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster is packed full of vitamins and antioxidants to give the skin a healthy boost. The texture is relatively viscous and thick, however, it surprisingly absorbs quickly and my skin feels very comfortable. I love the citrusy scent and the fact that it contains rosehip extract which aims to repair and strengthen the skin texture.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ 2.5ml
'From natural skincare experts Trilogy, Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ combines nature's most powerful skin restoring properties in a unique and advanced formulation. Certified organic, 100% natural and great for all skin types, this red berry seed oil blend provides daily antioxidant protection with intensive nourishment to replenish softness and elasticity for healthier, younger looking skin.'

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ is 100% natural and is formulated with Rosapene which helps to restore and protect the skin. In addition red berry seed oil blend, the formula also consists of antioxidants Lycopene from Tomato and Phytosterol from Acai to protect the skin from premature aging. This rosehip oil makes my skin feel nourished and has great healing properties which seems to improve the texture and appearance of my skin.

Alpha-H Liquid Gold Prep and Prime 10ml
'This multi-action, water-based fluid leaves skin plumped and luminous, to provide the perfect canvas for makeup application. The unique mattifying formulation instantly absorbs into the skin, working at a cellular level to refine pores and dissolve cell build-up on the surface layer of the skin. Contains no filter ingredients with a 93% pure formulation, made up of rich botanical extracts teamed with hard working Glycolic Acid to ensure the overall appearance of the complexion is enhanced.'

Alpha-H Liquid Gold Prep and Prime is part of a three-step Skin Perfecting System. Alpha-H Liquid Gold Prep and Prime softens and moisturises the skin while simultaneously boost skin resilience. It also claims to improve the appearance of fine lines and large pores. So many great benefits from one little pot of gold! This precious formula of 'Liquid Gold' contains Glycolic Acid, Chamomile, Cucumber and Thyme and is suitable for skin showing signs of hyperpigmentation, sun damage and loss of elasticity. The great thing about this product is that it is free from detergents, parabens, kojic acid, hydroquinone, artificial fragrances and colors.

Subtle Energies Facial Blend 10ml
'Used in some of the world's most prestigious spas, Subtle Energies Facial Blend is an exquisite aromatic that gives a youthful glow, providing rejuvenation and hydration to dry and normal skin types. This precious blend is unique in its aroma with the skin nurturing essential oils of mogra, sandalwood and Indian rose together blended in a base oil of jojoba and the fortifying oil of ashwagandha, revitalising the appearance of damaged skin and helping to reduce the signs of ageing.'

I love the sound of an aromatic blend which helps to provide skin with a youthful glow and rejuvenate the skin! Subtle Energies Facial Blend is a new brand to me and it was an absolute pleasure to try a generous sample of this. The blend contains an exquisite concoction of essential oils of Mogra, Sandalwood and Indian Rose in a base oil of Jojoba and Ashwagandha. This moisturising oil is very hydrating and the scent is quite delightful! I love how it makes my skin feel soothed and nourished when I apply this before bedtime.

The Adore Beauty Super Serum Sampler is only available for a limited time only, so what are you waiting for?! I highly recommend this serum sampler set as the sizes are so generous and you can really get a good feel of the six different skincare serums. Shipping costs for orders made via Adore Beauty costs $5.95 for standard postage or $9.95 for express postage plus you will receive two satchet samples with every order and a mini sweet treat!

Which skin care serums are you currently raving about?

Bellabox... You're The One! October Launch Box

Well what can I say....  I Bellabox!

Bellabox has been placed at the top of my list as being the best beauty sampling service in Australia!

Bellabox is a monthly subscription ($15 per month) where you receive 4-5 deluxe high-end, boutique and cult products from Australia and around the world, so you could try the best and the latest products on the market. To read more about BellaBox and their amazing blog, please visit their website at www.bellabox.com.au and read through my post on Bellabox here.
I am utterly impressed with the quality of service and friendly vibe I'm getting from Sarah and the Bellabox team. Their website is interesting and there's a lot to read, learn and discover about beauty and fashion from their online blog and magazine.

I received my Bellabox after subscribing last minute (the day before they sold out of their exciting October launch Bellabox) and I am just over the moon and happy with the goodies included. As part of the launch of Bellabox, for the October box only, I received 200 Bella Rewards Points (equates to A$20) to shop at bellabox.com.au! Yay!

Let's get onto the contents in my October Bellabox!

October Bellabox
Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre Foundation Primer, 15 mL worth $15 (full size 50 mL rrpA$50)
Napoleon Perdis is one of my favourite brands and the Auto Pilot Pre Foundation Primer is one of my makeup/skincare staples! The size of this primer is so generous and I'm glad I have a travel sized version as it will be great for travel.

Savoir Faire Lipstick in, full size rrpA$48
I've never heard of the brand Savoir Faire until I met Bellabox. Savoir Faire is an Australian cosmetics brand based in Perth, Western Australia, which includes a variety of cosmetic products to be adored. I was hugely surprised to see a Savoir Faire lipstick in Bellabox! I love the packaging and gorgeous shade of Miss You and truly adore this lipstick! The shade is a lighter baby pink than in the photo and it's a sheer but buildable pink shade.

Alpha-H Gentle Daily Exfoliant, 2x5 g worth ~A$6 (full size 50 ml A$59.95)
Alpha-H, another one of my favourite brands! I'm very excited to try this exfoliant as I've heard many rave reviews on this and it seems 'gentle' to the skin. So, that's a great thing for my sensitive skin.

One Skin System Daily Hydrate, 10 mL worth A$15.80 (full size 50 mL rrpA$79)
One Skin System is an interesting brand as I have never come across this before. One Skin System is another Australian brand which uses the botanical ingredient called Enfleurage in their luxe skincare products. I'm very excited about this product as the product itself looks very interesting!

Wine Wipes, one satchet worth A$0.79 (20 satchets rrpA$13.95)
I don't normally dine with wine, though these Wine Wipes (Aussie brand!) will come in handy if I ever come across wine stained teeth.

A'Kin Lavender, Geranium and Jojoba hand and nail cream, 30 ml worth A$7.20  (full size 75 mL rrpA$17.95)
I love products which soothe the mind and sense! A'Kin hand and nail cream is made from a concoction of beautiful and divine botanical ingredients and the scent is purely indulgent!

October Bellabox total worth ~A$93!

I am super duper impressed with Bellabox as they included a variety of products ranging from body care to skincare and cosmetics and some products included were full sized! Bellabox's October box was very generous and I'm surprised the contents add up to cost more than 6 times the subscription fee of Bellabox itself!

I highly reccomend subscribing to Bellabox if you are just as impressed as I am with the October Box!

Did you subscribe to the October edition of Bellabox before it sold out?
Which product/s did you find interesting?

Reivew: Alpha-H Clear Skin System

Alpha-H is well known for their wide range of skincare products which help target any major skin concerns. A few weeks ago, I made a wise decision to purchase and trial Alpha-H's Clear Skin range comprising of the Daily Face Wash, Daily Hydrator Gel and Blemish Control Gel.

Pros:
Alpha-H Clear Skin Daily Face Wash

Clear Skin Daily Face Wash is conveniently packaged in a pump bottle with two caps (yes TWO CAPS!), a smaller clear plastic cap to house the pump top and a larger grey cap, I guess, to prevent air from reaching the gel cleanser.
One or two pumps are adequate to cleanse my face AM and again PM. Upon dispensing the product, I immediately noticed the beautiful refreshing herbal scents of Tea Tree and Eucalyptus, which are core ingredients in this gel cleanser.
This cleanser is gentle to my skin, thoroughly cleanses my skin and ultimately revitalizes my complexion, making it feel clean and clear of impurities.
This cleanser did not leave my skin feeling tight and dry, instead it helped to effectively maintain my skin over a period of time.
This cleanser is suitable for combination, oily and blemish prone skin as recommended by Alpha-H.

Alpha-H Clear Skin Daily Hydrator Gel

Moisturising the skin is an important step to help balance and maintain the surface of the skin.
Clear Skin Daily Hydrator Gel is enclosed in a squeezable bottle with a flip-top lid, allowing ease to dispense the desired amount of moisturiser.
The size of a ten cent coin is perfect for one application AM and again PM.
This Hydrator Gel is lightweight and smells refreshing due to the core ingredients of Cotton Seed and Eucalyptus.
My skin feels smooth, supple and radiant after continual usage of this moisturizer and I’m quite impressed with the results.
My skin is at a better state then before and I’m so glad that I’ve finally found my match!

Alpha-H Clear Skin Blemish Control Gel

Clear Skin Blemish Control Gel contains wonderful ingredients of Wild Oregano and Tea Tree which help to combat blemishes and keep other blemishes at bay.
This gel is formulated with salicylic acid which helps to clear the skin from blemishes and improves the texture of the skin.
Salicylic acid also acts to penetrate through the surface of the skin to clear blocked pores. That’s the beauty of Salicylic acid!
Over just a few days I’ve noticed a reduction in minor blemishes I end up seeing now and then.
The formulation does not dry the affected area, which most products I’ve used do, it actually helped to relieve redness and control those nasty pimples to ensure they disappear within a short amount of time.

Cons:

The Daily Hydrator Gel claims to refine the size of pores, however, I haven’t noticed any reduction in the size of my pores. Possibly requires further use of the moisturizer.
The consistency of the Blemish Control Gel was slightly thin for my liking, so I always ended up dispensing more gel than required, which I find quite wasteful for such an effective product.

Overall

I love the scents of Eucalyptus and Tea Tree in this range and find the core ingredients of herbal extracts are a fantastic concoction to help provide a radiant and clear complexion.
My skincare regime from the Alpha-H Clear Skin Range has made a large difference to my complexion and I’m very impressed with the outcome.
I highly recommend using these products if you have combination, oily and blemish prone skin.

Have you tried any products from Alpha-H??
