This post includes a review on the Clarins Ombre Minerale Eyeshadows in shades 06 Tea Rose and 11 Silver Green. Clarins Ombre Minerale Eyshadow, as mentioned, includes a whole new spectrum of 16 mesmerising shades that are categorised into matte, satin and shimmer finishes. The solid and compact gold packaging of these eyeshadows look stunning  with an in-built mirror and applicator. The design of the packaging looks very luxe!

Clarins - 'Ombre Minerale delivers smooth, long-lasting colour. Its ultra-soft mineral texture can be applied wet or dry, to beautifully enhance the eyes with a matte, satin or shimmer finish.'

Clarins Ombre Minerale Eyeshadow in #06 Tea Rose (L) and #11 Silver Green (R).

#06 Tea Rose is a beautiful shimmery satin pink peach which can be used as a base for the lids for an everyday look.

#11 Silver Green is a dark silver deep green with iridescent shimmers which can be used to enhance the eyes for a smoky eye look.

Clarins Ombre Minerale Eyeshadow can be applied wet to provide an intense and bold look to accentuate the eyes or it can be applied dry to give a soft and sexy look. The sponge tip applicator which comes in the eyeshadow compact makes it very easy to pick up product for application and blending to create a lovely wash of colour across the lids. The mineral eyeshadow is extremely finely milled, so a soft sweep to the eye lids provides beautiful colour intensity with ease and without any evidence of fallout. The colour intensity of these eyeshadows is not sheer nor pigmented, in fact I find the intensity just about right. I prefer to apply these shadows on dry as the soft wash of the shades gives my eyes an angelic look.

The quality and longevity of the formula is fantastic as my lids are very oily and with most eyeshadows I have used, they are not completely compatible for my oily lids. Fading was not an issue after wearing the eyeshadow from AM to PM and also creases were not evident. As always, a primer will help to allow the mineral eyeshadow to stay put although I have tried applying the eyeshadow on without primer and surprisingly, I had no issues with fading or creasing.

The finish and overall quality of the new Clarins Ombre Minerale Eyeshadows is definitely worth looking into if you are looking for long lasting eyeshadow for oily lids. The broad spectrum of shades available in the range has got me hooked and I'm sure you too will be lost for choice!

The new Clarins Ombre Minerale Colour Collection will be available from leading department stores, selected pharmacies and retail specialists and online at Adore Beauty from February 23 2013.
