Cleansing and moisturising my face on a daily basis are the most important steps in my skin care regime for good skin health. Furthermore, I always incorporate facial scrubs into my skin care regime, because these help to exfoliate and draw out impurities, dirt and oil deep inside my pores. These last few weeks I've been trialling a couple of The Sanctuary Spa skin care products and my experience using these products was like no other product!
I've used The Sanctuary Spa Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser (A$19.99/125ml) in the past before, though this was a small sample that I received and reviewed here. I like to double cleanse my skin so that I could cleanse away all makeup, residues and dirt that adhere strongly to my skin. I've been using the Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser to double cleanse my skin and this product really does wonders to my skin! The white opaque formula is quite thick and creamy which feels uber hydrating and moisturising. The formula is super-concentrated with Cocoa seed butter, Jojoba seed oil, Coconut oil and Chamomilla flower extract, so this explains why my skin felt so moisturised, soothed and fresh without the formula stripping the natural oils of my skin! The muslin cloth that was provided with this cleanser is 100% cotton and effectively aids the cleansing process by gently polishing the skin. Using the muslin cloth helps the cleansing action of the formula as the consistency of the formula is quite thick. I love using this muslin cloth together with the Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser as my skin looks and feels smooth and lovely thanks to the tremendously nourishing ingredients!
The Sanctuary Spa Warming Microbrasion Polish (A$19.99/100ml) is what I've been using every 3 days after cleansing my face with the Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser. The Sanctuary Spa Warming Microbrasion Polish is a thermal polish which aims to refine and soothe the skin. The formula contains a gazillion micro granules and once in contact with the skin I felt a heating sensation which lasted for 5 whole seconds. Initially, I wasn't used to the heating sensation, though thankfully this only lasted a few seconds. The heat helps to open the pores and by massaging the formula in circular motions to the forehead, nose and chin, the minute granules help to buff away dead skin cells and lift up impurities held deep into the pores. The granules felt like sandpaper, which actually felt good and nice, because I could feel the granules scrubbing away and polishing my skin. The formula is infused with Marine Earth and natural Kaolin to detoxify the skin; and Beeswax, Jojoba and Wheatgerm to hydrate and protect the skin. My skin felt amazingly 'baby-smooth' and soft and I experienced no irritation whatsoever. The Santuary Spa recommends using this microbrasion every 2 days (never on consecutive days) and once the skin starts to appear radiant and improved, then you should use this every 3 days. Since the formula works effectively for me and is slightly more gritty than other products I've used , I prefer to stick to using this every 3 days.

I've seen Sanctuary products at Priceline but I've never tried them, maybe next time they're on sale I'll try the Microdermabrasion Polish. I'm currently using the Vitamin C one from the Body Shop and for the price ($32.50 for 75ML), I wasn't terribly impressed.
ReplyDeletePriceline usually have great sales on The Sanctuary Spa products, definitely keep an eye out ;)
DeleteThis is actually really awesome! I have a sample of this (but without the cloth) so I haven't used it? Haha! I will have to try out the full sized one.. it looks excellent!
ReplyDeleteOh you should try the sample you have Jasmine! The formula feels lovely and unique for a cleanser, very creamy and indulgent. The muslin cloth helps to gently cleanse the skin and it's amazing how it made my skin feel silky smooth :)
