Maybelline Baby Lips Loves Color in Rose Addict

Maybelline Baby Lips Loves Color in Rose Addict

Maybelline Baby Lips is one of my favourite Maybelline products to date! A few months ago, Maybelline launched the new Baby Lips Loves Color (A$3.95/4.5g) collection! There are four delightful shades available: 001 Pink Lolita, 002 Berry Crush, 003 Rose Addict and 004 Cherry Kiss.

Baby Lips Loves Color is even better than the original Baby Lips as it adds a nice kick of colour. Another difference between the original and colour version is that the original one contains SPF 20 and offers 4 g of product, whereas the colour version has SPF16 and offers 4.5g of product. So weighing out the differences, I very much prefer to buy Baby Lips Loves Color due to the added colour!

I was looking for a shade which provided the most intense tint to the lips, as the shades Pink Lolita and Cherry Kiss seemed to be lightly tinted based on their packaging. So, I opted for Rose Addict (not just because it has my name on it), as a tinge of red would help to enhance my natural lip colour.

Maybelline Baby Lips Loves Color in Rose Addict is lightly pigmented and it almost appears translucent as you can see in the photo below. The shade looks great for an everyday look and it does provide temporary colour to my lips. The texture is very lightweight and feels very comfortable when applied. I usually need to re-apply a couple of times during the day as this balm stays put for about 3 hours. The formulation of the balm consists of  nourishing Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil, so it's no wonder why my lips looked and felt soft, smooth and supple! The sun protection factor is 16, so a great factor to protect the lips during the day.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Rose Addict is a great balm that provides a nice tint to my lips and the small packaging means that I could carry it in my jeans pocket or pop it in my handbag. I'm tempted to try the other three shades as they are so affordable and feel great on my lips!

Maybelline is available at Priceline, Coles, Woolworths, Target, Big W, K-Mart, Terry White Chemists, My Chemist and selected pharmacies nationally.

August Empties

Lancôme Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover: This eye makeup remover rocks my world! It removes all traces of eye liner, shadow and mascara and it doesn't irritate my eyes. I received this as a gift and being 30ml, it lasted me quite awhile.

Maybelline Baby Lips (reviewed here): This lip balm smells berry-delicious! It's nice and small, so fits nicely in my jeans pocket.

L'Oreal Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer: This primer comes in a jar which does seem un-hygienic, so you need to use a small plastic spatula to scoop out the product. The primer is relatively thick pastel pink coloured mousse-like formula, so using the warmth from my hands helps to absorb it through the skin. The formula gives a nice silicone feel to the skin and makes a great base for foundation. I'm not a fan of the thick texture, so I don't see myself re-purchasing.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex: I thoroughly enjoyed using this serum as it contains Hyaluronic Acid and antioxidants which help to moisturise the skin and combat free radicals as a night treatment. It's so exxy, so maybe using up a sample of this wasn't such a great idea... well not so good for my purse!

Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser (reviewed here): This gel cleanser is great for my combination/oily skin type as it feels soo gentle to my skin and cleanses my skin really well. It's non-drying and leaves my skin feeling smooth.

Sally Hansen Moisturising Foot Creme in Lavender: My skin inevitably becomes dry during winter, so this foot creme came in really handy to hydrate and condition my dry heels. The scent is lavender, my favourite scent, so that's another great bonus!

Soap and Glory Flake Away: Soap and Glory products smell utterly divine! Flake Away is an amazing product which buffs my skin and leaves it feeling ultra smooth hydrated. Will definitely look into purchasing the full size!

ULittleBeauty Enriching Night Cream: I love all ULittleBeauty skincare and hair care products as they are nautral based products and smell wonderfully botanical. This night cream feels very hydrating on my skin and the texture is nice and lightweight.

Nivea Pure and Natural Hand Cream: I am a huge fan of nautral based products and this hand cream is one that I love! It contains bio Argan Oil which helps to nourish and hydrate my hands. During winter, this product was a necessity!

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk (reviewed here): I love using dry shampoo and Klorane Dry Shampoo is an amazing product that's a must-have in my gym bag. It's great for travel and so quick and easy to use when my hair needs an instant refresher.

Review: Maybelline Babylips (Limited Edition MBFW)

Maybelline has launched their limited edition Fashion Edition Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York Babylips and I just got my hands on one of these cute lip balms! Babylips contains SPF20. I love the relatively high sun protection factor as most balms don't usually go up to a factor of 20. The balm is a soft pale pink and moisturises and smoothes my lips very well. However, after about 2 hours my lips tend to 'call-out' for re-application. The flavour is Protecting Berry and it smells lovely and subtle. The balm does not condition my lips as well as Lucas' Paw Paw and Blistex Lip Conditioner, but still, I think it's a great lip balm for the day time to protect the lips from the suns harful rays and leave the lips looking smooth and supple.

Have you got your hands on Maybelline's limited edition Fashion Edition Babylips? What do you think of the packaging design?
