Kit Cosmetics Diamond Nail Bows

The latest offering from Kit Cosmetics is the gorgeous and glamorous Diamond Nail Bows (A$15.95/set of six), which reminds me a lot like the glitz and glam on the set of The Great Gatsby movie! This set features six diamond nail bows, nail glue (1ml) and glue remover (5ml). These diamond nail bows are the cutest nail embellishments to add some bling bling to your nails!

Directions:

1) Apply a base coat to protect and strengthen your nails - I used Manicare Base Coat & Strengthener (reviewed here).

2) Paint your nails - I'm wearing the shade Monroe by piCture pOlish.

The shade Monroe is one of my favourite red shades as it looks so elegant and feminine on my nails. Monroe is described as a blood red jelly which contains minuscule iridescent holographic shimmers. The quality if great and the formula is excellent, where the consistency is not too thick and the finish is ultra smooth and reminiscent of jelly!

3) Place a small amount of nail glue to the bed of your nail and hold the diamond nail bow in place for a few seconds until the glue has dried.

4) To remove the diamond nail bow, use the glue remover provided or alternatively use regular nail polish remover.

Voila! These diamond nail bows are so easy to apply and they sit nicely on the nail bed. They add a touch of spark and are just so adorable! I've already received compliments after wearing them on this morning!

Kit Cosmetics Diamond Nail Bows are limited edition and currently available at Kit Cosmetics, Mecca Maxima, Mecca Cosmetica and selected Myer department stores nationally.

Have you come across these gorgeous diamond nail bows before?

NOTD: Kit Cosmetics Get Going

My Kit Cosmetics Nail Polish Collection is slowly growing and I'm quite happy to introduce the shade Get Going to this small collection. Get Going is from the Limited Edition Summer Loving Collection and it's a very girly vibrant purple shade with irridescent shimmers. The finish is incredibly smooth for a glitterly nai polish, but that is beacause the shimmers are so tiny! Two coats provides a completely opaque finish.

Kit Cosmetics Nail Polish in Get Going

Kit Cosmetics Nail Polish retails for $15.95 for a full sized 12ml bottle. Available online at www.kitcosmetics.com.au, Kit Cosmetics counters in Myer and Mecca Cosmetica.

Do you have a Kit Cosmetics Nail Polish Collection growing at present?
Which nail polish shades are you wearing this summer?

Event: SUPER Quickie anyone?

Is your skin hungry? Hungry for some nutrients and yearning for invigorating skin?

I think there may be an answer to all of these questions!

Recently, renowned Dermatologist Dr. Nicholas Perricone formulated a breakthrough skincare range and launched his new shining stars at all KIT Cosmetics stores.
This skincare range is named SUPER.

Dr. Nicholas Perricone has a fetish for 'nutritious and powerful foods' which lead him to develop the SUPER skincare range. He has even attracted Oprah's liking for SUPER, as she claims these products target her skincare needs! Now that's SUPER!

The SUPER skincare range offers a number of products to help target common skin concerns. There are a number of treatments available which fall under the following categories:

BREAKOUT STAR- for acne prone, oily or red skin

AFTERGLOW- for dull skin

THE 'BIG-O'- for dry irritated skin

GET EVEN- for uneven skintone

KIT Cosmetics is celebrating the launch of SUPER by offering a FREE 15 minute in-store 'Quickie', so you can indulge in one of the four facials (listed above) and get a glimpse of the entire range. Call into your nearest KIT store and get your 'Quickie' between 23rd May 2011 and 26th June 2011.

Each of these SUPER skincare products standing on their own podium look like winners to me!

Here are some of the products in this amazing SUPER skincare range:

3-minute Facial Intensive Treatment (60 mL, A$75.95)- this quick and easy to apply 3-minute facial helps to hydrate, stimulate and ensure the skin appear radiant. This product contains ginger warming properties to give radiance and glow to the surface of skin

Acne Solution Blemish Treatment (30 mL, A$76.95)- smells delicious! Just as sweet as green apple to the point where I'd want to eat it! Although, this product helps to relieve redness from acne and reduce the appearance of blemishes. This product also exfoliates the affected area while balancing and brightening the skin's texture.

Second Skin Hand and Cuticle Cream (60 mL, A$44.95)- this hand cream is the perfect companion for dry hands and cuticles during the coming winter season. This yoghurt formulated cream helps to moisturise, rejuvenate and nourish hands and cuticles, leaving them to feel soft and smooth.

Review: SUPER Hyper Hydrator with Coconut Water

During the week I was offered to sample the Hyper Hydrator Daily Moisturiser with Coconut Water  and Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) from the new SUPER skincare range by Dr. Nicholas Perricone at KIT Cosmetics. This is the first time I've tried Dr. Nicholas Perricone's skincare products, so I was quite excited to get the chance to try a bit of his creations.

Hyper Hydrator Daily Moisturiser

Pros:

I've been using this Hyper Hydrator cream for a few days now and  I really like this moisturiser! It smells subtly sweet just like coconut, however, the scent disappears a little while after application. I quite like the scent of sweet smelling skincare products! This cream goes on quite smoothly, despite its slightly thick consistency, though it absorbs quickly and leaves behind a matte finish due to the presence of MCT! My skin feels pretty nice, smooth and soft, just the way I had anticipated! The cream was gentle to my skin and did not break me out.

Cons:

The texture of this white cream is relatively thick as you can see in the photo above (apologies for the blurry photo taken from my phone), so it takes a little time to thoroughly massage it into my skin.

Overall:

Hyper Hydrator worked very well with my combination skin type to maintain the moisture and health of my skin. I absolutely adore the soft coconut scent as it's quite nice to indulge in sweet scented skincare products. I've also found that this moisturiser is also SUPER as a primer as it provides a clean smooth canvas on my face and hides the appearance of pores when applying foundation.

Have you tried Hyper Hydrator Daily Moisturiser yet?
What are your thoughts on moisturisers containing coconut as the core ingredient?
